Missing Link Poster is ©Laika Studios Director – Chris Butler Cast – Hugh Jackman, Zach Galifianakis, Zoe Saldana, Emma Thompson, Stephen Fry and Timothy Olyphant Release Date – 05/04/19 (United Kingdom) Running Time – 95 minutes / Rated - PG Missing Link is the fifth feature film from Laika, the laborious stop animation studio responsible for films such as ‘ParaNorman’ and ‘Kubo and the Two Strings’, however the tone of this film is more light-hearted and humorous compared to the previous four feature films which have been dark, rather disturbing animated films likely to give young children nightmares. It was only a matter of time until Laika decided to expand their storytelling and make more colourful, bright and funny films to attract more people to watch films made by Laika. The opening scene of ‘Missing Link’ immediately establishes that this film is different because it is more humourous and the sets used to seem more expansive compared to Laika previous films. ...

At the same time, the Resistance are evac...

Elf Review

Image
Elf Poster is ©New Line Cinema Director - Jon Favreau Cast - Will Ferrell, James Caan, Zooey Deschanel,  Mary Steenburgen, Daniel Tay, Edward Asner and Bob Newhart  Running Time - 97 minutes Music by John Debney This review may contain spoilers This is one of my favourite Christmas films to re-watch every year and it stands up with other Christmas classics such as Home Alone and Miracle on 34th Street.  The basic plot of the film is about a boy who is raised by elves in the North Pole and grows up believing he is an elf but discovers he is human and travels to New York City in search of his father Walter Hobbs played by James Caan. Will Ferrell is excellent as Buddy the Elf and plays him with such innocence which makes him so fun to watch after arriving in New York, where he does not understand what's going and what to do. Also, the supporting cast is terrific as their characters which includes Bob Newhart as Papa Elf and Zooey Deschanel as Jo...

This film has faced many behind-the-scene problems ranging from extensive reshoots, script changes and a change of directors during reshoots due to Zack Snyder leaving during production due to a personal tragedy. The film begins with Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) and Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) looking to assemble a team of metahumans to help fight against an impending invasion. With the death of Superman, this has led Steppenwolf and his army of Parademons to return to Earth in search of the Mot...
